We are excited to share some wonderful news with our preschool community!
We are expanding our services and opening a new location called Amazon Creek Infants & Toddlers. As part of this expansion, we are now opening our infant classroom and are ready to welcome babies to begin this new chapter with us.
✨ Immediate openings are available, and we are currently enrolling infants.

We accept ERDC as well as private pay.

Menu Nutrition Guidelines
We are NOT part to any food program, we provide breakfast, lunch and snack wide range of nutritional foods, organic produce, and fresh produce daily. Our staff ensures, breakfast, lunch, snack is of an appropriate portion size. We provide vegetarian meals to anyone who needs them.We encourage all of the children to try everything of the foods we sit with children and engage them in conversation, as well as encouraging conversations between the children.
We offer only regular milk, but if you child need to drink any other milk , you can bring it.
Also, you are welcome to bring your food for your child, we ask that you pack low-sugar items in your child’s lunch at we may not be able to have children bring items containing nuts, chocolate or natural fruit gummy.
Discipline Policy and Strategy
At Amazon Creek Preschool we are committed to providing positive guidance to help children develop appropriate behavior.
Our policy is simple: we want to help you become respectful and understanding of others and develop your self-control.
-We will be consistent with the classroom rules and everything will be appropriate to the age of the children, always explaining our classroom rules to them during play and circle time.
- Understand their feelings at all times, show them that we care about them, and that we want to help them know that it is okay to make mistakes and sometimes there are natural consequences.
Strategy
-The constant routine
-The rules of the classroom are the same for everyone,
-We will always modify the room if necessary to prevent problems.
-Talk to children at their level
-Make them feel comfortable
-Listen to everyone and sometimes we will talk together to resolve a conflict and solve it like the friends we are.
-Always look for more strategies as material that can be used to teach social skills such as taking turns, treating others with kindness and conflict resolution.
-Share with parents what we are doing to work as a team.
-Here there is only understanding and respect for the feelings of all children.

AMAZON CREEK PRESCHOOL STORY
Hello Parents,
Welcome to Amazon Creek Preschool. I am Paloma Toledo, and I am a bilingual/bicultural teacher. I’m offering care for Two and a half to five year olds from 7:30 AM to 6:00PM. We will be learning and playing in both English and Spanish.
Our play-based curriculum helps kids with creativity, curiosity and problem-solving. Our daily activities pull from a curriculum plan based on STEM or kid-sized science, engineering and math.
Garden and bilingual program. We are right across the street from the Amazon Creek stream and look forward to exploring what all is living down in there.
Briefly, about myself, I am originally from Mexico City, and I have had 13 action packed years of experience here in a local major Center. I have had extensive early childhood development training through LCC and addition workshops. I have five Certificates from LCC including Guide and Curriculum, Mind in the Making and Early Child Care Business, 310 hours of college level courses and 304 hours of Community-based trainings.
In my 14 years of experience, I have most enjoyed being the Gardening/Spanish language specialist in the Preschool age group.
My additional professional experience includes Child Care Liaison at Downtown Languages for eight years and the PILAS Family Literacy Program. I am a Step 7.5 in the Statewide Oregon Registry teacher certification program.

At Amazon Creek Preschool, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Preschool offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
